Confused?  Don’t Be!

  • It’s very similar to other Job Boards you may have used. You simply create an account by supplying some basic contact info and enter your zip code.

    Jobs will be displayed per the search radius you set, using your zip code as the “home” point.

    We provide some helpful links on the Job Board itself to guide you through the process should you have interest in one of our posts.

  • The merchandising industry partners with retailers to fulfill many critical needs that help them run their retail operations.

    This might include stocking product, installing/updating signage and seasonal marketing materials, or being responsible for the maintenance of a specific store display/department like consumer electronics.

  • There are many different types of retail merchandising jobs (see “What is Retail Merchandising) with different levels of difficulty.

    Basic tasks like stocking displays require only minimal training. Tasks like updating advertising signage require more training and support, and this is provided by Ardent.

    Depending on the type of job, Ardent may offer online or in-person training courses, live phone support, or provide tools and uniforms when necessary.

  • You will be hired as a direct W-2 employee, but the length of your employment is directly related to the length of the project.

    We hire based on a specific client project(s) and fill roles accordingly. Once a project has been completed, we may or may not have another project in your home area to work on. As long as you are in good standing with us, you will be given the first opportunity to work on any project that becomes available.

    Based on this, employment is temporary, with limited hours and duration, and is not eligible for unemployment benefits once the employment period ends. Temporary and seasonal roles are designed for specific periods, and per diem work is scheduled, as needed, rather than guaranteed.

  • You will be working part-time hours, so there is some flexibility. However, there will be specific days/hours that will need to be worked in order to service our clients’ needs appropriately.

  • You would be working directly for Ardent Retail Services, as a part-time W-2 employee.

  • Details of pay rate will be disclosed on the Job Board so you can have full information before expressing any interest or taking next steps.

    Ardent pays via direct deposit, twice a month. The current pay cycle pays on the 15th and last day of the month .

  • Merchandising is part-time work and therefore will rarely exceed 25 hours a week.

    If you want more hours than are available on one project, you may have the option to apply for multiple projects or apply for a different opportunity with a different merchandising company.

  • Yes. You can complete opportunities as a independent contract for other companies or work as an W-2 employee for other companies.
